Summary You will serve as a

Assistant Project Superintendent

in the

Department of the Navy

to include work sites of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. Applicants will only be considered for positions within their own UIC. For example: If you are within UIC 4523A, you will only be considered for positions within 4523A. Duties

  • You will determine long and short-range needs for resources such as manpower, materials, equipment and staff support.
  • You will conduct meetings or briefings to ensure flow of information regarding production schedule, cost effectiveness, or material issues.
  • You will direct production efforts committed to the sequencing of ship overhaul or repair projects.
  • You will manage material or labor costs during the production phase to ensure proper execution of shipboard projects.
  • You will develop short and long-range plans to provide manning, material, and equipment to support ship overhaul or repair projects.
  • You will identify manning priorities and distribute personnel assignments accordingly. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, coordinating, and executing production work of various trades in support of ship system overhaul, repair, or modification projects to ensure completion of work phases in accordance with project schedules.
