with the tools and processes to stay at the forefront of what is possible with
Ai. Iis
is a brand-aligned team of internal consultants and brand strategists that partners with senior commercial leaders and GCA Centers of Excellence to frame business problems and unlock brand value. As the function unlocks the possibilities that AI enables, this role supports a broad portfolio of AI initiatives across SC IIS, owning a set of initiatives outright and working alongside colleagues across the team who are driving this work.
What You Will Achieve
Reporting to the Senior Director, Customer Strategy and Innovation, and partnering closely with the Strategic Initiatives Lead, the ideal candidate is agile, curious, unafraid to try new ideas and to innovate, and enthusiastic about the possibilities of AI for commercial strategy and analytics. They stay current on AI trends broadly and as they take shape across healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry, and keep close to AI work underway across Pfizer, drawing connections and finding synergies between ongoing initiatives to bring both perspectives back to the team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working amid ambiguity and coordinating cross-functionally as well as passionate about bringing new capabilities to bear and have the standing to drive the initiatives they own. They will partner across
Sc Iis
and with cross-functional groups including AIA, Forecasting, and Market Research Excellence, and bring the collaborative orientation, strong communication, and follow-through that let a fast-moving function rely on them. The secondment offers direct exposure to how a commercial analytics function adapts its work to AI, visibility with IIS and GCA leadership, and the opportunity to shape capabilities that scale across Specialty Care and beyond.
How You Will Achieve IT
- Portfolio Delivery and Ownership: Take ownership of a set of initiatives that anchor how
Sc Iis
operates in an AI-enabled environment, carrying them from framing through delivery and keeping them current and reliable as the work evolves.
- AI Governance and Standards: Support the operation of AI governance forums, including the AI for Insights Council and the monthly
Sc Iis
knowledge-share forum, helping keep AI insight work across the function consistent, well documented, and aligned to shared standards. Support the capture of completed AI work as reusable case studies.
- Ways of Working and Validation: Contribute to how the function adapts its ways of working to AI, including developing and pioneering the human-in-the-loop validation and maintenance processes that keep AI tools and capabilities accurate, current, and reliable over time.
- Capability Advancement and Adoption: Provide hands-on support to the build, incubation, scaling, and maintenance of core
Sc Iis AI
capabilities, including identifying opportunities for agent connectivity, working alongside the leads driving those efforts and helping move capabilities from idea into real use across the team.
- Championing Adoption: Champion and socialize adoption of the AI tools and capabilities IIS builds across the
Sc Iis
team, helping colleagues embed them into how they work and running enablement and build sessions that drive real, sustained uptake.
- Knowledge Sharing and Impact: Help drive and measure the adoption and impact of the function's AI work: defining how adoption and impact are measured, piloting and tracking those measures, and making results visible. Share what the function is learning by surfacing and elevating capabilities, case studies, and results across SC IIS, GCA, and the broader commercial organization.
- AI Landscape Awareness and Knowledge Sharing: Keep current on AI developments both outside Pfizer, across the industry and in healthcare and pharma specifically, and inside it, tracking what is being built and applied across the organization. Bring what is relevant back to
Sc Iis
and share it with the team so the function learns from work happening elsewhere. QUALIFICATIONS Must-Have
- Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 6+ years of experience.
- Degree in Marketing, Psychology, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
- 6+ years in consulting, market research, market analytics, insights, or strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to own and deliver work independently across multiple simultaneous priorities.
- Curiosity about and early adoption of AI in a commercial or analytical setting.
- Team-oriented, collaborative approach with strong listening skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Comfort operating amid ambiguity and helping build new processes without a fully defined playbook.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing. Nice-to-Have
- Master's degree with at least 5+ years of experience; OR a PhD with 1+ years of experience.
- Hands-on exposure to AI tools in a commercial or analytical setting, including LLMs or decision-support applications.
- Familiarity with Pfizer GCA capabilities and the IIS operating context.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical market research and commercial analytics methodologies (forecasting, market insights, promotional performance, primary and secondary data).
- Prior experience in a strategic initiatives, program support, or transformation-support role.
