Come Be Part of a Mission that Matters! Accounting Intern Come Be Part of a Mission that Matters! Neogen is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our Finance team. This internship provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a corporate environment while gaining hands-on experience with accounting and financial processes. The intern will work alongside experienced professionals, support day-to-day activities and projects, and develop practical skills that provide a strong foundation for a career in accounting or finance. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly financial reporting, including preparing schedules, updating templates, and validating financial data.
• Support accounting and financial analysis activities, including researching discrepancies and ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting by gathering data, performing variance analysis, and preparing summary reports.
• Perform cost, trend, and KPI analysis to support business decision-making.
• Maintain financial spreadsheets, databases, dashboards, and supporting documentation.
• Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to gather information and complete assigned projects.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and system-related projects.
• Support basic financial modeling and other ad hoc accounting and finance activities as needed. Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, functions, and spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Preferred Qualifications
• Accounting coursework or previous accounting/finance internship experience.
• Exposure to ERP or financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Experience with or interest in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
