Join CommBank's Financial Crime Operations team and play a critical role in strengthening our AML/CTF and Sanctions framework while leading large-scale reform initiatives across the Group. Do work that matters As a Senior Manager AML Reforms, you will lead the delivery of complex AML/CTF and Sanctions change initiatives that enhance the Bank's financial crime risk management capabilities. Working across multiple business units, you will provide leadership, oversight and strategic direction to ensure our operational environment remains effective, compliant and adaptable to emerging financial crime threats. You will partner with senior stakeholders across the Group to identify opportunities for uplift, manage operational risk and embed sustainable change programs that strengthen our control environment and improve customer, regulatory and business outcomes. We are responsible for supporting the Group's Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorism Financing and Sanctions obligations while driving continuous improvement across our financial crime operations. You'll join a high-performing leadership team committed to innovation, risk excellence and capability development, helping to ensure we remain at the forefront of financial crime prevention and compliance. On any given day, you will
- Lead AML/CTF and Sanctions reform initiatives that drive material improvements across Financial Crime Operations.
- Provide oversight of confirmed suspect activity to identify emerging financial crime trends, risks and opportunities for enhancement.
- Partner with Executive Managers, Senior Managers and key stakeholders to influence outcomes and deliver strategic change.
- Drive the operationalisation of Group policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and oversee financial crime risks, controls, control testing and remediation activities.
- Provide insight-driven reporting and recommendations to senior leadership and governance forums.
- Lead change management activities and ensure effective stakeholder engagement and capability uplift.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and operational excellence.
- Coach, mentor and develop leaders and specialists to strengthen AML/CTF and Sanctions expertise across the function.
- Ensure effective resource planning, operational forecasting and delivery of business performance objectives.
- Maintain awareness of emerging financial crime risks, regulatory developments and industry trends. We're interested in hearing from people who have
- Extensive experience leading AML/CTF, Sanctions or Financial Crime Operations functions within a complex financial services environment.
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale regulatory, risk or transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of AML/CTF legislation, sanctions obligations and financial crime risk management frameworks.
- Experience managing operational risk, controls, control testing, issue management and remediation programs.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders across multiple business units.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of using insights to drive decision-making.
- Experience leading, developing and inspiring high-performing teams through periods of change.
