Part-time Interlibrary Loan Specialist

Compensation Range: Hourly: $20.00 - $25.77 Interlibrary Loan Specialist (Part-Time, Hybrid) 📍 San Diego, CA (Kearny Mesa) + Remote Sundays (until 8pm PST) 💲 $20.00 per hour Are you passionate about helping students access the resources they need to succeed? National University's Library Services team is seeking a Part-Time Interlibrary Loan Specialist to coordinate interlibrary loan requests, assist with reference inquiries, and connect students with research materials from libraries across the country. In this role, you'll process physical and digital interlibrary loan requests, search for hard-to-find resources, communicate with students and partner libraries, and provide chat, phone, and email support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys research, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do

• Coordinate interlibrary loan requests for books, articles, and other research materials.
• Investigate and locate difficult-to-find resources through library networks and databases.
• Communicate with students regarding request status and fulfillment timelines.
• Provide library support through chat, phone, text, and email.
• Assist with Sunday reference services and digital request processing.
• Maintain accurate records and support daily library operations. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree and equivalent experience.
• Strong research, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and persistently search for hard-to-find materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with interlibrary loan services, ILLiad, Tipasa, OCLC WorldCat, or academic libraries is highly preferred.
• Library Science coursework or degree is a plus.
