2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic- Haltom City, TX 1pm start time Mon-Fri. Every other Sat. Waste Connections | $24–$34/hr | Full-Time + OT + Benefits Join Waste Connections as a Diesel Mechanic and keep our fleet running strong! We’re hiring experienced techs to perform maintenance and repairs on garbage trucks—covering everything from hydraulics and electrical to engine systems. This is a hands-on, outdoor role for someone who takes pride in their work and values safety. 💰 What We Offer: • $24–$34/hour based on experience • $150/month tool allowance + annual boot stipend
- Full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K match, Life Insurance)
- Consistent hours: 50–60 hrs/week, Sun–Thur. + some Saturdays
- Year-round stability + safety-first culture 🛠️ What You’ll Do:
- Perform preventative maintenance & inspections
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues
- Handle on-road breakdowns and emergency calls
- Keep shop clean, organized, and safe
- Accurately document all work performed ✅ Requirements:
- 3+ years of diesel or heavy truck experience
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- ASE cert and CDL (A or B) a strong plus
- Reliable, hard-working, and safety-minded
