This position reports to: Finance Manager __ Mission of the Role Are you passionate about leading businesses and driving profitable growth in a global technology company? ABB is looking for a Local Division Manager to lead our Motion Drive Products (MODP) division in Brazil, a key growth market for our business in the Americas. In this role, you will have full P&L responsibility for the local business, covering sales and marketing, portfolio management and operations. You will define the go-to-market strategy, build strong relationships with key customers and partners, and lead a high-performing team to grow market share and deliver sustainable results. Responsibilities
- Lead the MODP division in Brazil with full P&L responsibility, covering sales and marketing, portfolio management and operations.
- Define go-to-market models and segment strategies, and make sure they are aligned with operational execution.
- Set sales targets and performance metrics to grow the business and gain market share, spotting gaps early and taking corrective action to meet short-, mid- and long-term objectives.
- Manage local operations, including order management, invoicing and customer service, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- Improve cost structure, productivity and capital efficiency through profitability, hourly rate, absorption, demand and cost-to-serve analyses, and manage commercial costs such as sales expenses, after-sales and channel partner commissions.
- Monitor market price levels and assess their impact on results together with the Product Management team.
- Build strong relationships with key decision makers at current and potential customers, take part in strategic contract negotiations, and manage contractual, financial and cybersecurity risks across customers and channels.
- Lead, develop and engage the team, making sure the organization has the right structure, people and skills. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in general business management, leading sales, marketing and operations with full P&L responsibility and a strong track record of profitable growth.
- Solid background in industrial markets, preferably drives, motors or automation, with strong market knowledge and business development skills.
- Strong commercial and financial skills, including strategic P&L management, cost structure and pricing.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including performance management, coaching and skills development.
- Growth mindset and entrepreneurial approach, with proactive decision-making, accountability and collaboration.
- Fluent English and Portuguese, with excellent communication and influencing skills. Spanish is a plus. What we offer
