Process Engineer

Learn more at www.hbfuller.com . Position Overview The Process Engineer drives safe, reliable, and efficient adhesive manufacturing processes. This role focuses on improving First Pass Yield (FPY), reducing process variation, scrap, and downtime, while supporting quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Engineering to optimize processes, implement capital projects, and enhance manufacturing performance. Primary Responsibilities

• Improve process safety, reliability, quality, and throughput.
• Lead root cause investigations and process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methodologies.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process controls, and manufacturing standards.
• Drive improvements in FPY , scrap reduction, cycle time, and equipment effectiveness.
• Support new product introductions, process scale-up, and manufacturing trials.
• Lead capital projects related to mixers, processing equipment, material handling, automation, utilities, and manufacturing capacity from scope development through startup and commissioning.
• Partner with Maintenance to improve preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability for mixers and critical process equipment.
• Analyze manufacturing data and implement sustainable solutions that improve performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Experience with continuous improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma, SPC, root cause analysis, and Lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Requirements
• Experience with mixing, batch processing, or chemical manufacturing.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with capital projects and equipment startups.
• Knowledge of SPC, process capability analysis, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience with industrial mixing equipment such as high-shear mixers, dispersers, or planetary mixers. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000. In addition to your salary, H.B.
