Summary This position is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia.This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment under 10 U.S.C. 1599f. Duties
- Formulates budget estimates for high-level, multi-year programs, develops cost-benefit analysis and detailed budget forecasts of proposed budgetary and programmatic actions, and gives advice on the most advantageous courses of action.
- Prepares written materials and budgetary information to include matrixed program and budgetary functions reports, provides historical reference, and presents current fiscal year information while complying with new financial legislation and policies.
- Performs various statistical and analytical techniques in order to perform projections, forecasts, trend and gap analysis, cost/benefit analysis and other qualitative and quantitative assessments in order to analyze problems, conduct audits.
- Participates in audits relating to the budgetary and accounting data, providing information to auditors from activities such as the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), DOD Inspector General (DoD IG), and DISA Inspector General (DISA IG).
- Monitors the receipt and posting of transaction data into the DISA accounting system received from other services and agencies' Transactions By Others'. Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience performing budget management activities such as developing, formulating, and executing program budgets, OR experience conducting cost benefit analyses; AND, Experience advising senior leadership on fiscal matters. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Additionally, prior to reporting for duty the selectee must be found eligible for a DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) based upon an Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), AND be approved for Presidential Support Duty in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.87 (Yankee White
