Key Responsibilities: Application Development and Delivery · Design, develop and maintain features end to end across the Connect solution — web application, shared services, data layer and APIs — using C# / ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor views, JavaScript/jQuery, Bootstrap and DevExtreme. · Model and evolve the SQL Server database using Entity Framework Core, including schema migrations, audit logging, identity and fine-grained, role-based permissions. · Build and support Azure-hosted cloud solutions, including Azure Functions for scheduled synchronisation, bulk jobs, notifications, data retention and service-health checks. · Deliver changes safely behind feature flags, with controlled roll-outs and reversible migrations for business-critical flows. · Ensure all user-facing text is localised across every supported language before release. Integrations and Business Systems · Design, implement and support integrations with ERP (NetSuite), CRM (Salesforce), payment providers (Stripe, Converge/PayTrace) and other business systems, over REST and SOAP APIs. · Maintain reliable two-way data synchronisation — customers, contacts, invoices, support cases and files — including authentication, retries, conflict resolution and error handling. · Maintain and harden online payment flows, including multi-currency and multi-entity handling, webhooks, receipts, and safeguards against duplicate payments and gateway outages. · Support single sign-on and identity flows (SAML 2.0, employee SSO, API-key authentication) for connected platforms such as the Knowledge Base. · Extend AI-assisted capabilities in the portal, including the Copilot chat experience. Quality, Reliability and Support · Lead technical investigations, root-cause analysis and resolution of customer-reported and production issues, rather than applying surface-level fixes. · Write and maintain automated unit and end-to-end tests, and keep CI/CD pipelines green in Azure DevOps. · Monitor platform health using application logging and performance monitoring tools, and act on issues before customers are affected. · Apply secure development practices: input validation, secure handling of payment and personal data, role-based authorisation, and safe management of secrets and credentials. · Support production releases and post-release activities across QA, Development and Production environments. Collaboration and Technical Leadership · Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews and code reviews, and act as a quality gate for changes entering shared branches. · Mentor engineers, share knowledge actively and promote engineering best practices and coding standards across the team. · Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, Support, Application Engineers, Finance and global Sandvik teams throughout the Agile lifecycle, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives and daily stand-ups. · Translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and communicate options, trade-offs and risks to non-technical stakeholders. · Create and maintain technical documentation, API documentation and onboarding material Required Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Applications or a related technical discipline. · 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a track record of owning delivery of complex features independently. · Strong hands-on experience with .NET / C# and ASP.NET Core MVC, including dependency injection, middleware and service-layer design. · Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and an ORM such as Entity Framework Core, including schema design, migrations and query performance tuning. · Practical experience with Microsoft Azure — Azure Functions, Blob Storage and application monitoring. · Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs (SOAP exposure an advantage), including authentication, webhooks and data synchronisation patterns. · Solid front-end skills with JavaScript/jQuery, HTML5, CSS and Bootstrap. · Experience with automated testing, Git branching strategies, pull-request based workflows and CI/CD pipelines. · Understanding of secure web application development and production support practices. · Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and within a distributed team.
