Senior Lead Quality Engineer Job requirements Experience Range: 5 to 8 years of experience in quality engineering, including at least 2 years in application resilience and performance testing Key Responsibilities: Design and execute comprehensive performance and resilience testing strategies for complex applications, incorporating chaos engineering principlesDevelop and implement chaos test scenarios using tools such as Gremlin and Chaos Monkey to assess application resilienceMonitor application performance and resilience during testing using advanced observability tools, identifying bottlenecks and failure pointsAnalyze test results and generate detailed, actionable reports for stakeholders, highlighting resilience metrics and recommendationsCollaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot performance and resilience issues, driving root cause analysisOptimize test environments to ensure accurate and reliable performance and resilience testing outcomesLead efforts to improve testing frameworks and methodologies, ensuring scalability and repeatability across multiple projectsStay current with industry best practices in performance and resilience engineering, proactively recommending enhancements to testing processes Required Skills: Advanced proficiency in JMeter for designing and executing performance testsHands-on experience with HP Load Runner for load and stress testingPractical expertise in chaos engineering tools such as Gremlin and Chaos MonkeyStrong understanding of observability, failure injection, and resilience design patterns including circuit breaker and retriesExpertise in application monitoring tools for real-time performance and resilience analysisExperience in identifying and resolving performance and resilience bottlenecksAbility to develop custom test scripts for complex scenariosFamiliarity with test environment setup and configurationCompetence in analyzing large datasets and performance logs Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud-based performance and resilience testing platformsKnowledge of automation frameworks for performance and chaos testingExpertise in continuous integration and delivery pipelines for performance and resilience testingFamiliarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesUnderstanding of network protocols and web technologies relevant to performance and resilience engineering Desired Qualifications: Associate's degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related disciplineCertification in performance testing tools such as JMeter or HP Load RunnerRelevant certification in quality engineering or software testing, such as ISTQB Advanced Level Test AnalystWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
