Planning Director – Statewide and Regional Planning

Our partner is looking for a Planning Director – Statewide and Regional Planning based in United States. The Planning Director will lead the growth and strategic development of a national statewide and regional transportation planning practice. This senior leadership role will shape transportation strategies, capital investment programs, and long-range planning initiatives for major public-sector clients. You will build executive-level relationships with state DOTs, MPOs, transit agencies, regional authorities, and other transportation organizations. The position combines practice leadership, business development, client advisory, technical oversight, and multidisciplinary team leadership. You will identify emerging transportation trends, policy and funding developments, and new opportunities while developing differentiated advisory services. The role also provides a platform for industry thought leadership through conferences, professional organizations, research, and publications. Success requires a strategic transportation planning leader who can connect complex client challenges with practical, commercially sound solutions.
