Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. You will serve as an Electronics Technician at Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). Duties
- You will serve as lead technician on facility improvement and upgrade projects within the Central Target Simulator (CTS) Operations Section.
- You will provide critical analog, digital and programmable logic array (PLA) circuit fabrication and integration, fabrication and integration expertise to the CTS Operations Section in order to enhance radio frequency (RF) simulation capabilities.
- You will make technical decisions and recommendations and will coordinate the numerous phases of development projects.
- You will prepare thorough documentation, including integration and test plans, on all design efforts.
- You will troubleshoot and repair the complex existing analog and digital control systems and circuits used throughout the facility.
- You will configure and operate the CTS facility during electronic warfare (EW) experiments.
- You will operate laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, pulse and function generators, RF synthesizers, RF power meters and spectrum analyzers. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NR-02 pay band (GS- 5/8 grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: demonstrated experience in fabrication of electronics assemblies, integration and troubleshooting of electronic systems, and testing of electronic systems in support of laboratory simulation facilities.
