Warranty Analyst

Description

• The Warranty Supplier Recovery Engineer is responsible for recovering the warranty spend amount from NA suppliers ( for supplier parts failures in Ford vehicles built in NA & sold globally) for allocated commodity ( Eg : Power train, Electrical, Interior , Underbody, Exterior).
• Responsibilities include sending the monthly debit packs/warranty claims to suppliers and needs to manage supplier responses/queries through emails/meetings.
• In the event of supplier disputes, they need to work with Ford PD/Product Development team to resolve it.
• Negotiate with suppliers to get better share rate % / recovery for Ford.
• If supplier wants physical parts for analysis, they need to coordinate and ship samples to suppliers. They must get failure/root cause analysis report from suppliers to prevent failure recurrence.
• Responsible to implement efficiency innovation projects through automation of manual reports if any by utilizing data analytical tools.
• Overall, the intent of this team to get recovery for Ford and to improve suppliers’ parts quality thereby increasing retention at Ford network. Responsibilities Mandatory Skills:
• Good communication (both oral & written), presentation and Interpersonal skills.
• Data Analytics/Software & Technology skills (like Python, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI etc.,)
• Technical/Engineering skills.
• Passion to acquire new skills. Preferred Skills:
• Negotiation & supplier handling skills.
• Advanced computer skills (e.g. Excel Macros, Pivot table, conditional formulas, analytics etc.)
• Analytical & Problem solving.
• Collaboration. Qualifications BE (Mechanical/Automobile/Mechatronics/EEE/ECE) & MBA (preferred but not mandatory) Min 4~5 years of relevant work experience in automotive industry.
