Software Eng III - Job Level: Associate

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Software Developer (Various Languages Welcome) to contribute to the design and development of innovative front-office technology solutions while building expertise in scalable systems, modern development practices, and financial markets. This is an Associate level position within the Software Engineering job family responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications, platforms, and technology solutions that support business objectives. What you'll do in the role · Develop and maintain front-office technology solutions supporting Fixed Income and Equities businesses. · Contribute to large-scale technology initiatives designed to unify business platforms across asset classes. · Collaborate with global development teams across multiple regions, including Asia and Europe. · Partner with business users, desk strategists, market risk managers, and other stakeholders to deliver technology solutions. · Participate in the design, development, testing, and support of applications built on modern asynchronous calculation platforms and bitemporal data stores. · Learn and apply Scala development practices within a collaborative team environment. · Contribute to software development throughout the application lifecycle using modern development tools and practices. · Continuously develop technical and business knowledge through training and hands-on experience. What you'll bring to the role · Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field. · Solid experience using at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, C++, C#, or Python. · Strong interest in learning Scala. · Strong interest in learning about finance and financial markets. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills. · Passion for innovative and emerging technologies. · Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE is an asset. · Experience using Git is an asset. · Understanding of computer science fundamentals, including client/server architecture, multithreading, and memory management. · Exposure to functional programming languages is an asset. · Experience working in Unix/Linux environments is an asset.
