Title and Summary Digital & Social Media Marketing Manager Overview We are looking for a digitally driven marketing professional to develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns for the German market. In this role, you will manage campaigns from initial concept and planning through execution, optimization and measurement. You will work across digital channels, content, paid media and social media, partnering with agencies and internal teams to deliver effective marketing programs that support our business priorities and engage customers. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong campaign execution. You do not need to be a technical specialist or an experienced people manager. What matters most is your ability to take ownership of complex digital campaigns, coordinate multiple stakeholders and agencies, and use performance data to improve results. Key Responsibilities Digital and Integrated Campaign Management
- Develop and deliver digital and integrated marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives, customer needs and market priorities.
- Manage the full campaign lifecycle, from developing the initial strategy and brief through activation, optimization and post-campaign evaluation.
- Translate business challenges and customer opportunities into clear marketing objectives, audience strategies, channel plans and measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate activity across digital, social media, content, search, paid media and other relevant channels.
- Ensure campaigns provide a consistent customer experience and reflect the brand’s positioning, tone of voice and visual identity.
- Identify relevant market, consumer, competitor and digital trends that can inform future marketing activity. Content, Media and Agency Management
- Develop clear campaign, content, creative and agency briefs based on business and marketing objectives.
- Work closely with creative, media, digital, content and social media agencies to deliver high-quality campaigns and assets.
- Guide agencies on target audiences, channel selection, content requirements, media planning and campaign KPIs.
- Challenge agency recommendations constructively and ensure proposed solutions address the underlying business need.
- Oversee content strategy and distribution, ensuring that content is relevant to the audience, platform and stage of the customer journey.
- Coordinate paid media activity, including media planning, media buying and campaign optimization.
- Manage agency delivery against agreed expectations for quality, timing, budget and results. Search and Social Media
- Understand how SEO and Google search contribute to wider digital marketing campaigns.
- Work with specialist agencies to set objectives, brief search activity and evaluate recommendations and results.
- Support the planning and delivery of organic and paid social media activity across relevant platforms.
- Contribute to content plans, campaign calendars, amplification strategies and platform-specific creative development.
- Monitor platform developments, audience behaviour and emerging content formats to identify opportunities for improved engagement. Performance and Optimization
- Establish clear objectives, KPIs and measurement plans for digital marketing campaigns.
- Monitor campaign performance across relevant measures such as reach, engagement, traffic, conversion and cost efficiency.
- Use digital analytics and campaign data to identify performance gaps and recommend practical improvements.
- Lead campaign performance reviews with agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Consolidate campaign results and learnings to strengthen future briefs, channel plans and investment decisions.
- Prepare concise reports and presentations that communicate activity, results, key insights and recommended next steps. Stakeholder and Budget Management
- Partner with business development, product, communications, sales, customer teams and regional or global marketing colleagues.
- Build alignment on campaign objectives, audiences, deliverables, budgets, timelines and measures of success.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and maintain momentum across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Manage assigned marketing budgets, agency costs, campaign forecasts and related financial processes.
- Ensure that campaigns are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with brand, legal, privacy and internal approval requirements. All About You You are an experienced digital marketing professional who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on campaign delivery. Ideally, you will bring:
- Relevant experience in digital marketing, online marketing, performance marketing or integrated campaign management.
- Experience managing digital campaigns from initial concept and briefing through execution, optimization and measurement.
- Strong experience writing briefs and managing creative, media, digital or content agencies.
- A broad understanding of digital channels and how they work together within an integrated marketing strategy.
- Experience with content strategy, content distribution, paid media, media planning and digital advertising.
- A practical understanding of SEO and search marketing, with the confidence to brief and challenge specialist agencies.
- The ability to interpret digital analytics and KPIs and translate campaign data into clear recommendations.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The confidence to influence stakeholders and present strategies, recommendations and results clearly.
- Professional fluency in both German and English.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, communications, business, digital media or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience with artificial intelligence, automation or Answer Engine
- Optimization is also welcome, but it is not a core requirement for the role.
