Powder Coat Painter

Description The powder coating painter will work with the paint department, use industry standard powder painting techniques and processes to surface prep and apply powder paint on aluminum and steel substrates. Typical paint department processes include sanding, polishing, loading, unloading, cleaning etching, pretreat, masking, painting, touchup and rework processes. Essential Duties:

• Execute production work orders, gather required tools and materials, follows instructions and paint specifications required for job.
• Prepare parts for coating by sanding, wiping, hanging parts on the conveyor.
• Will be responsible for inspecting for and maintaining a high level of quality for all coated parts produced by department.
• Use manual hand-held guns to apply powder paint as the parts move by on the conveyor.
• Operate all coating equipment including guns, pumps, agitators and booth filtration systems.
• Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Requirements
• Background in powder coating and industrial painting
• Strong attention to detail
