Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
- Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conduct internal audits.
- Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Meet processing and reporting deadlines.
- Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures. Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
- Assist the accounting manager as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or 5 years experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills. Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk, while working on a computer
