Wright Tree Service of Canada Essential Job Duties: (Tasks necessary and required to perform the job.)

• Keep the worksite clean and organized by removing fallen tree debris, including branches, leaves, and trunks
• Ensure that pathways are clear and safe for workers and equipment
• Support Arborists fetching tools, holding materials, or providing general help
• Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris, or feed brush into a woodchipper
• Set up tools and equipment for arborists to use
• Help arborists assess the health and structural integrity of trees, possibly by assisting with measurements, observations, or gathering data
• Perform physically demanding manual labor in various weather conditions
• Set up barriers or signs to keep the area safe for the crew and the public
• Request repairs or replacement of equipment when necessary
• Actively support and encourage working safely and supporting a positive team environment
• Report safety hazards or unsafe working conditions to supervisors
• Ensure that materials and equipment are stored in a safe and organized manner
• Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s culture of safety and employee ownership
• Comply with applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings Other Duties:
• Position may require some outside travel
• During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster
• Works around excessive noise from machines, chainsaws, woodchipper and must wear proper personal protective equipment Supervisory Duties: (Duties of supervising others.) • Eager to learn knowledge of trees, including identification and growth habits would be
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices
• Possess the ability to lift move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks, as new situations continue to emerge
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products utilizing the latest operating systems
• Experience with Apple-based products
• Demonstrate excellent customer service focusing on rapport-building, listening, questioning and patience
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors Education, Certification & Experience Requirements: (The minimum level of education obtained, certifications held, or experience in years acceptable for the role.)
• A High School Diploma or higher
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license, and a current Drivers Abstract with less than 6 demerit points
• Applicant must pass pre-employment drug screening Other Preferred Requirements: (driver’s license, CDL, pesticide or herbicide license, CPR or first-aid certified)
• Valid First-Aid and CPR certificates would be considered an asset.
