We are looking for a skilled and hands-on AV Technician to support the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of professional audio-visual systems. The candidate will work at customer locations and coordinate with AV engineers, project managers, vendors, and other site teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery. Requirements Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, cameras, video conferencing systems, AV racks, and control equipment.
- Carry out equipment mounting, rack assembly, cable routing, dressing, labelling, termination, and testing.
- Work with HDMI, CAT6/CAT6A, audio, video, speaker, control, USB, and network cables.
- Read and follow AV schematics, rack elevations, floor plans, cable schedules, and installation drawings.
- Assist AV engineers with equipment configuration, system testing, commissioning, and customer demonstrations.
- Test audio, video, camera, microphone, display, and source-switching functions.
- Diagnose and resolve basic AV hardware, cabling, signal, connectivity, and equipment-related issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, system health checks, and replacement of faulty cables, connectors, or equipment.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, network, and customer teams during onsite installation activities.
- Maintain daily work reports, installation checklists, equipment details, serial-number records, and completion reports.
- Ensure proper handling of AV equipment, tools, and project materials.
- Follow safety requirements, quality standards, and customer site procedures. Technical Skills
- Knowledge of professional audio-visual equipment and installation practices.
- Experience in AV rack assembly, equipment mounting, cable management, termination, and testing.
- Basic understanding of audio/video signal flow, video conferencing, and IP networking.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, cable testers, multimeters, and other installation equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow installation instructions.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for audio, video, cabling, and connectivity issues. Qualification and Experience
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer Hardware, or a related technical discipline.
- 1–4 years of experience in AV installation, structured cabling, ELV systems, or onsite technical support.
- Experience with corporate meeting rooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, digital signage, or video conferencing systems will be preferred. Benefits
