Environmental Services Assistant I (HM JR93195) - Part Time with Benefits - 32 Hrs. Weekly/64 Hrs. Biweekly - 11am - 7:30pm Shift - Every Other Weekend and Holiday (EVS/Newark)

In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and caregivers while supporting infection prevention and quality patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, and hospital common areas.
• Remove trash, soiled linen, and bulk waste from assigned areas.
• Maintain Environmental Services equipment, carts, and supply closets.
• Restock paper products and soap throughout the facility.
• Follow infection control, safety, and departmental procedures.
• Respond promptly to work-related calls and messages.
• Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards.
• Attend required training and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to use a smartphone or mobile device for work assignments.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a healthcare environment with possible exposure to infectious diseases while following required safety precautions. This position has a starting rate of $17.80 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.90 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.93 per hour. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
