Summary You will serve as a IT Specialist (APPSW) in the

Naval Education and Training Command.

Duties

  • You will develop program logic and writing program code using current versions of programming languages like PL/SQL.
  • You will apply principles, methods, and procedures for designing, optimizing, and integrating new and/or reusable systems components sufficient to design and develop efficient and effective applications through optimal use of reusable components.
  • You will maintain database management principles and methodologies including data structures, data modeling, data warehousing, and transaction processing.
  • You will apply software engineering concepts and factors such as structured design, survivability, reliability, scalability, and maintainability sufficient to ensure products are optimized for state-of-the-art technology and functionality. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Manage the lifecycle of enterprise application software systems (APPSW) from requirements analysis and design through development, testing, and implementation; 2) lead IT project schedules, milestones, and cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies; 3) Coordinate technical requirements for Programs of Record (POR) before a Configuration Control Board (CCB); and 4) Administer or design databases (such as Oracle or SQL Server) or implementing cloud/COTS solutions (such as Salesforce or Oracle Campus Solutions) while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards (such as Risk Management Framework (RMF) or ACAS scans).
