Supply Technician

Summary About the Position: Uses automatic data processing, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal knowledge and ability to manage assigned supply systems and to provide supply and logistical support. Duties

• Maintains operational support and responsibility for assigned supply system
• Establishes and maintains contact with key item managers for supply sources.
• Establishes and controls requisitioning objectives (RO's) and unique mission support levels.
• Monitors multiple automated inventory management systems to ensure users receive appropriate equipment and supplies, reviews requisitions, determines potential alternatives, and determines appropriate actions to be taken.
• Prepares financial reports to compare performance against programmed objectives.
• Develops plans to meet objectives resulting from policy or program changes. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
