Pharmacy Technician (Automation/Informatics)

Summary About the Position: This position is located with Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, CO. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Duties

• Support pharmacy automation and informatics systems by assisting with installation, integration, configuration, and daily operational troubleshooting.
• Maintain and update pharmacy databases and electronic health record interfaces to ensure accurate connectivity and data integrity.
• Compile and analyze medication-use, quality assurance, and performance improvement data to support pharmacy operations.
• Process and dispense prescription medications, maintain prescription and controlled substance records, and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.
• Operate and maintain automated dispensing equipment and workflow systems, performing routine adjustments and troubleshooting as needed. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience includes supporting pharmacy automation and informatics systems; troubleshooting pharmacy hardware, software, and network issues; maintaining pharmacy databases and electronic health record interfaces; compiling medication-use or quality assurance data; and processing and dispensing medications while operating automated dispensing equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full academic year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Pharmacology. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
