Strategy, Policy, and Plans Directorate-Security Cooperation Division in Miami, FL. Duties
- Serve as an Electronic Warfare (EW) Planner and Analyst within the Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Cell (JEMSOC).
- Coordinate the synchronized integration and employment of Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Warfare Support Support (ES), and Electronic Protection (EP) into current USSOUTHCOM operations in the AOR (area of responsibility).
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to meet combatant command theater needs.
- Monitor current EW assignment(s) and utilization.
- Evaluate the impact of changes in regulatory and legislative requirements regarding long-range Electronic Warfare program goals.
- Define dynamic and enduring requirements for EW training and materiel in accordance with Requests For Forces (RFF) and long-range strategic planning.
- Respond to Requests For Information (RFI) within the scope of EW capabilities and proper asset allocation. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Serve as an Electronic Warfare (EW) Planner and Analyst to ensure total force readiness in the electromagnetic operational environment (EMOE); 2) Synchronize the integration and employment of Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Warfare Support (ES), and Electronic Protection (EP) into current operations; and 3). Implement scientific and technological advances in related fields of wireless communication, electronics, and automation while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to meet combatant command theater needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
