General Accountant

Job Title: General Accountant Location: Remote Employment Type: Full Time Contract Company: Plurilock Security Inc (TSXV: PLUR) About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting tasks, including month-end financial close and year-end activities, reconciliations, financial reporting & analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your efforts will contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of the company. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee daily accounting operations, including accruals and general ledger entries.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, analysis, and management reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payroll, and ensure accurate cash flow monitoring.
• Conduct full-cycle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Support budget preparation and variance analysis for strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audit and ensure proper & complete documentation.
• Continuously improve accounting procedures and processes to enhance efficiency.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and billing in coordination with the project management team.
• Ensure revenue and expenses are properly allocated to corresponding projects and calculate revenue accrual/deferral based on percentage of completion.
• Assist with software deferred revenue & cogs calculation, tracking, and reporting. Qualifications:
• Proven experience in accounting or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MS Dynamics, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with ERP systems or financial management tools.
• Experience in the audit firm, software technology or cybersecurity industry will be an asset.
