Work Model: Onsite Department: Legal Affairs Reports to: The General Counsel & Senior Corporate Counsel of SK hynix America Inc. Job Summary: SK hynix is seeking an experienced mid-level attorney to serve as legal counsel for our cutting-edge semiconductor operations in the United States. This role requires legal expertise across commercial, dispute, and regulatory domains. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating complex legal issues that require analysis on several fronts, while effectively communicating with procurement, R&D and sales departments. This position offers an opportunity to solve complex problems in a fast moving technology sector. Responsibilities:

• Work across a spectrum of complex legal, business and strategic issues
• Draft, review and negotiate high-stakes commercial agreements, including semiconductor-specific joint R&D, IP licensing, procurement, sales and strategic partnership contracts
• Provide legal advice to various teams, including engineering, sales, finance, HR and operations, and engage in cross-functional deliberations and decision-making
• Analyze legal claims, investigate facts, identify commercial, regulatory or other legal risks, conduct factual investigations, and deliver strategic recommendations to management
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant U.S. regulations affecting semiconductor operations
• Design, build, and optimize legal processes, templates and guidance that enable the organization to move quickly while managing relevant risks
• Collaborate closely with the parent company's legal teams, as well as U.S. affiliates and subsidiaries to align on cross-border transactions and corporate governance Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor degree from a top-tier U.S. law school
• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar
• Minimum of 3 years of post-bar experience handling commercial transactions at a law firm, as an in-house counsel, or a combination of both
• Proven track record and expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, and resolving disputes arising out of such contracts, especially with respect to R&D and sales
• Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet competing deadlines with a high degree of ownership
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in working in a large corporation or multinational company, including collaboration with the parent company, affiliates and subsidiaries
• Experience in the semiconductor, electronics, or other advanced technology manufacturing sectors
• Familiarity with export controls, tariffs, and general corporate law/ governance practices
• Experience working in a multicultural / international environment Requirement:

• Willingness to travel periodically to other locations as needed

Compensation: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Pay within the provided range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related skills and experience.
