Company : Allegheny Health Network Job Description : Sign on Bonus Eligible: $15,000 (3 year commitment) GENERAL OVERVIEW: This job performs prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees the daily operations and manages non-labor expenses, activities and inventory for the department; maintains a quality assurance program according to regulations established by regulatory bodies. (35%)
• Positions patients and performs imaging procedure(s) independently. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results. (25%)
• Completes all required documentation for procedures e.g., regulatory, billing protocol and imaging distribution. (15%)
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. (10%)
• Implements radiation protection, safety standards and assures compliance in the department. (10%)
• Coverage of chief tech duties as assigned (10%)
• Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography certification 2 years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist.. Preferred
