(TITLE 5), GS-0303-7, you will assists the lead CSS in managing daily administrative and unit-level support, executes assigned programs in line with the Personnel Services Delivery Guide (PSDG), and supports training of personnel to maintain mission readiness and compliance with Air Force policies. Major Duties

• This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Supports the administration of military personnel management programs including requesting personnel actions such as promotions, evaluations, awards, and leave. Provides customer service and guidance on organizational personnel policies and procedures. Monitors personnel records and supports preparation of routine personnel actions with guidance from higher graded HR Specialist. Assists with maintaining personnel files and electronic records in accordance with Air Force, Air National Guard, and local directives. Participates in tracking training requirements for assigned organization and helps coordinate developmental opportunities.( Assists commanders, supervisors, and employees in understanding personnel policies and procedures. Collects, compiles, and organizes data for reports and briefings. Assists in maintaining accuracy of personnel records and databases, in accordance with established guidelines. Supports the workflow and assists with assignments among administrative personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks Assists higher graded specialists in areas critical to unit operations, ensuring adherence to Air Force policies. CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position, Title 5 Excepted Service, will be in the following manner and sequence: The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be candidates who match through the Priority Placement Program (PPP). The SECOND area of consideration will be Veterans' Preference (VP) eligible. The THIRD area of consideration will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. The FOURTH area of consideration will be all current Federal Employees. The FIFTH area of consideration will be all Federal re-employment eligible. The SIXTH area of consideration will be all U.S. Citizens. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-7 Level MUST possess 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level of GS-5; experience administering military personnel management programs; preparing personnel actions; maintaining personnel files and electronic records; assist with understanding of personnel policies and procedures; compile reports and briefings; maintain accurate personnel records and databases. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
