Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Mumbai Experience: 7+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Real Estate Travel: International Travel Required About The Role We are a real estate company looking for an experienced Civil / Structural Engineer based in Mumbai to manage technical design coordination between our real estate clients and our team in China. This is not a creative design role, and you will not be expected to create architectural designs from scratch. You will receive drawings and technical information from real estate clients, understand and review them, filter the relevant information, make necessary edits or adjustments, and prepare them in a clear format that can be effectively communicated to our team in China. The role requires strong technical understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to make sense of complex drawings and information while coordinating accurately between multiple stakeholders. This is also a fast-paced, high ownership role where accuracy, responsiveness, and the ability to manage multiple technical requirements are extremely important What You’ll Do Architectural Design & Modelling

• Understand client requirements and translate them into complete architectural designs
• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for houses and other structures
• Take designs from initial concept through to technically detailed and buildable outputs
• Revise and refine designs based on client feedback
• Incorporate technical constraints and practical considerations into designs
• Ensure design intent is maintained throughout the development process Supplier & Partner Coordination
• Coordinate closely with Chinese suppliers and partners
• Communicate design specifications and material requirements
• Coordinate on timelines, quality expectations, and technical requirements
• Maintain clear communication between suppliers, clients, and internal teams Documentation
• Maintain accurate architectural and technical drawings
• Prepare and update project specifications
• Maintain clear technical documentation throughout the project
• Ensure drawings and models are revised accurately when requirements change International Travel
• Travel to China as required
• Participate in supplier visits and technical discussions
• Coordinate directly with international suppliers and partners
• Support technical and material-related discussions during supplier visits What We’re Looking For
• B.Arch , or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with strong design experience
• Around 7 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience designing complete structures or residential buildings
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural fundamentals
• Ability to translate client requirements into complete design solutions
• Experience developing both 2D drawings and 3D models
• Ability to take a design from concept through to technically buildable detail
• Strong understanding of materials, specifications, and design feasibility
• Confident, open, and enthusiastic personality
• Clear communication skills when working with clients, teams, and external partners
• Digitally inclined with the ability to independently own design deliverables
• Valid passport is mandatory
• Willingness to travel internationally, primarily to China Technical Skills Hands-on working knowledge of:
• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• BIM
• Reading and interpreting civil and structural drawings
• Technical drawing modifications and annotations
• Drawing and document version management The Ideal Candidate We’re looking for someone who can act as the technical bridge between our real estate clients and our team in China . You should be able to receive drawings from clients, understand and interpret the technical information, identify what is relevant, and edit or restructure the drawings based on the format and level of clarity required by the China team .
