Our team partners closely with clients to optimize their Workday environments, offering services such as application management, Workday evolution and expansions (Phase X implementations), follow-on solutions, analytics, and continuously enhance the user experience. Position Summary: The HCM Manager will oversee delivery for their team, ensuring successful implementation and post-production support, while also serving as a hands-on lead consultant in HCM Core and at least one additional module, such as Core Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Talent/Performance, Recruiting, PEX, or Learning. As the HCM Manager, you should be comfortable troubleshooting and/or navigating Workday Security and be able to build custom reports. This role will actively contribute to the development of ERPA’s Workday practice, and we’re looking for an innovative, strategic leader with the drive to make ERPA a Workday partner of choice. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage up to 10 direct reports on the Workday HCM team while also serving as a hands-on functional lead Workday consultant across multiple client engagements with limited direction
  • Understand client business requirements and provide guidance throughout design, configuration, and prototyping; and assist clients with testing and go-live activities
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for multiple SKUs, supporting the Sales team with sales presentations, demos, and LOEs
  • Support clients during annual events (e.g., Talent/Performance, Merit, Open Enrollment, ACA) and maintain strong client relationships through trust and exceptional service
  • Collaborate with Engagement Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project status, communication, and delivery
  • Stay current on industry trends, Workday enhancements, and advise on Workday best practices
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies to drive efficiency, enhance delivery, and improve client outcomes
  • Assign and prioritize Jira tickets across the team based on utilization and overall workload
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and provide team utilization updates to leadership during the weekly operations meeting
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports, providing guidance, support, and career development
  • Participate in annual performance reviews
  • Actively participate in the hiring process – collaborate with Talent Acquisition on job requirements, review candidate submittals, conduct technical interviews, provide timely feedback, and lead onboarding training sessions for new team members Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Previous supervisory experience is highly preferred
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a Workday HCM lead/partner consultant at a partner firm is required
  • Must have experience independently leading at least two Workday Phase 1 implementations and two Workday Phase X implementations
  • Experience implementing Workday for Higher Education and/or State and Local Government clients is preferred
  • Workday HCM certification with implementer access is required and must have at least 2 of the following additional Workday certifications: Core Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Talent/Performance, Recruiting, Learning, PEX
  • Workday Partner certifications must remain in Active status throughout employment with ERPA
  • Strong organizational skills are required. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with a detailed understanding of Workday HCM processes and best practices to make appropriate implementation recommendations
