Construction Manager

Job Purpose: The Construction Manager is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, dispatching and overseeing construction projects and crews of employees from start to finish. This position ensures projects are completed safety, efficiently, on time, and within budget while meeting customer expectations and company standards. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role works closely with the Estimating and Sales Departments to ensure a clear understanding of project scope, scheduling, resources, and customer requirements. The position also provides direction and support to field employees and serves as a key point of communication between Neumayer, customers, and General Contractors. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with customers, General Contractors, subcontractors and internal departments throughout the duration of each project.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure work is completed on time and according to customer expectations.
• Coordinate and dispatch construction crews based on project needs, timelines, and employee availability
• Manage crews of approximately 2-8 employees per project and coordinate the work of approximately 8-15 employees on a daily basis.
• Review project plans, blueprints, scopes of work, and specifications to ensure crews understand project requirements.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and other resources needed for each project.
• Monitor project progress and communicate changes in scope, updates, delays, or potential issues to the Operations Manager and appropriate internal teams.
• Identify potential scheduling, staffing, or project issues early and work proactively to resolve them.
• Work closely with the Estimating and Sales Departments to ensure a clear understanding of project scope, expectations, and customer commitments.
• Utilize Contractor portals and project management systems.
• Ensure required project documentation, photos, daily reports, and other paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor projects for quality, productivity, safety and adherence to company and customer requirements.
• Conduct or coordinate project site visits as needed to monitor progress and address concerns, which may include out-of-town travel.
• Provide direction, coaching, and feedback to construction employees and identify areas where additional training or development may be needed.
• Hold employees accountable for following company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and project expectations.
• Coordinate project closeout activities and ensure all required documentation is completed.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, employees and internal departments.
• Oversee service areas, and give feedback on areas where growth is needed
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned What We’re Looking For Required:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous construction experience
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, plans and project specifications.
• Willingness to learn company processes, procedures, and software systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, an investigative mindset, and excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work across teams.
• Ability to work effectively with field employees, customers, General Contractors, and internal departments.
• Ability to provide direction, coaching, and constructive feedback to employees.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project needs. Preferred:
• Previous construction management experience
• Experience working with General Contractors or within the petroleum industry
• Experience coordinating construction crews or subcontractors
