Your Impact Pearce is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support our Critical Power organization by developing accurate, detailed, and competitive estimates for turn-key electrical projects. This role will focus on critical power installations, including Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, structured cabling, and electrical service and maintenance work . The Electrical Estimator will review project requirements, perform detailed take-offs, conduct site walk-throughs, develop comprehensive cost estimates, and prepare proposals that clearly identify labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and other project costs. This individual will partner closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management to develop technically sound and profitable solutions from initial opportunity through project award. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, hands-on estimating experience, and the ability to evaluate complex project requirements in critical power and mission-critical environments. Core Responsibilities

• Develop complete and detailed estimates and proposals for UPS systems, generators, critical power infrastructure, structured cabling, and electrical service and maintenance projects .
• Prepare itemized pricing for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, freight, travel, contingencies, and other project-related costs.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop complete project cost estimates for regional and national opportunities.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, scopes of work, RFPs, bid documents, and customer requirements to determine project scope and pricing.
• Conduct site walk-throughs and assessments to evaluate existing conditions, verify quantities, identify installation challenges, and gather information necessary to develop accurate estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes based on pricing, availability, lead times, and project requirements.
• Identify scope gaps, project risks, exclusions, assumptions, and potential cost impacts during the estimating process.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management to clarify technical requirements and develop appropriate project solutions.
• Support change-order pricing, value engineering, and scope revisions throughout the bidding and project lifecycle.
• Maintain organized estimating files, take-offs, proposal documentation, vendor pricing, and historical cost information.
• Assist with bid reviews and handoffs to project teams following award.
• Maintain awareness of current material, equipment, and labor costs to support accurate and competitive pricing.
• Travel to customer locations, project sites, and company offices regionally and nationally as required. Core Experience
• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university is required.
• Proven experience in electrical estimating , preferably involving critical power, UPS systems, generators, data centers, mission-critical facilities, structured cabling, and/or electrical service and maintenance projects.
• Demonstrated experience performing detailed quantity take-offs and developing comprehensive project estimates.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, power distribution, installation methods, construction practices, and applicable industry codes and standards .
• Experience reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, RFPs, bid packages, and technical documentation.
• Ability to evaluate labor requirements, material quantities, equipment needs, subcontractor costs, and project risks.
• Experience obtaining and evaluating vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook , as well as estimating and take-off software.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and priorities while meeting demanding bid deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document estimates, assumptions, exclusions, and proposal requirements.
• Ability and willingness to conduct on-site assessments and travel regionally and nationally as required.
• Valid driver’s license required. Preferred Experience
• Experience estimating turn-key UPS, generator, critical power, or data-center projects .
• Experience estimating electrical service, preventive maintenance, upgrades, replacements, and retrofit projects.
• Knowledge of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber .
• Experience with estimating platforms such as Accubid, ConEst, or similar software .
• Experience supporting projects from initial estimating and proposal development through award and project handoff.
• Previous experience working in electrical construction, critical power, mission-critical facilities, data centers, or field-service environments is highly preferred.
