Java Cloud Lead

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Cloud-native Java delivery Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services aligned to Azure cloud architecture and best practices. Build scalable APIs and backend components with strong focus on performance, resiliency, and maintainability. Architecture & modernization Contribute to solution design for cloud migration/modernization initiatives across Azure and complementary AWS/GCP environments. Apply cloud design patterns (stateless services, caching, async processing) and ensure systems meet availability and scalability goals. Quality, security & reliability Implement automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices to improve release quality and delivery speed. Partner with security and platform teams to ensure secure coding practices, secrets management, and compliance with cloud security controls. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications in production; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive fixes. Collaboration & leadership Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to refine requirements, estimate effort, and deliver iteratively. Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering standards, documentation, and reusable components. Technical requirements Technology->Cloud Platform->AWS Database->AWS,Technology->Cloud Platform->Azure Devops,Technology->Cloud Platform->GCP Database,Technology->Java->Spring Additional responsibilities Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering/Computer Science/IT (e.g., BE/BTech/BSc) or Master’s degree (e.g., MTech/MCA/MSc). 5–9 years of experience in software development with strong hands-on expertise in Java. Hands-on experience building and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure. Strong understanding of RESTful services, object-oriented design, and common backend development practices. Experience with source control, build tools, and CI/CD fundamentals; ability to troubleshoot production issues effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP in addition to Azure, supporting multi-cloud or hybrid deployments. Experience with Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, Hibernate/JPA, and API gateway patterns. Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS/EKS/GKE) and infrastructure automation concepts. Working knowledge of messaging/streaming and distributed systems (e.g., Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs). Experience with observability tooling (logging, metrics, tracing) and performance tuning in cloud environments. Proven ability to lead modules end-to-end, collaborate with architects, and drive technical decisions with clear trade-offs.
