Department Overview Our team is responsible for designing, developing and testing mission-critical communication solutions for our ASTRO product. Learn more about the features of ASTRO on our YouTube page: Job Description The engineer will be responsible for evaluating the two-way mobile and portable products along with designing modifications to enhance the performance of the core platform products. These projects include detailed analysis of the existing designs and implementation of cost effective and manufacturable performance enhancements for our products. The ideal candidate must possess a broad skill set, demonstrated communication and presentation skills, analytical thinking and a desire for learning that will support sustainable career growth. Responsibilities/Knowledge:

• Design and develop highly-sophisticated communication circuits and products for mission critical markets.
• Face to Face and over the phone customer support for Astro products.
• Root cause and resolve assigned customer cases.
• Working on sub-circuits that consists of RF, digital controller, power and audio circuits. RF sub-circuits involving receivers, transmitters, VCOs, amplifiers, filters, mixers. While digital and controllers will include microcontrollers, logic and LCD circuitry. As for audio and power, audio and signals circuits, batteries, voltage regulators, audio amplifiers, speakers and microphones.
• Design of circuits using industry standard schematic capture tools
• Worst case analysis of circuits in area of responsibility.
• Generate documentation in areas of responsibility.
• Define stress test routines required to validate functional sections.
• Formulate test plans to ensure component and system level performance.
• Validation testing to ensure performance over temperature and voltage extremes.
• Participate in system design review. #LI-JM2 #ONSITE Target Base Salary Range: $66,900 - $85,300 USD Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Basic Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Must have a good understanding and knowledge of RF/digital/audio related fields.
