Location: London Wall About our Team Our STMJ (Science, Technology, and Medical Journals) team publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed research that drives progress across scientific and medical disciplines. We collaborate closely with authors, editors, reviewers, and societies to ensure the integrity and impact of the published work. Through innovation in editorial workflows and publishing technology, we help global research communities discover, evaluate, and disseminate knowledge that advances science and improves lives. About the Role As a Product Manager for SSRN, Elsevier's preprint server, you will own one or more product features end to end, working alongside the Senior Product Manager to shape the feature roadmap. You will engage directly with researchers and scholarly communities to build a firsthand understanding of their needs, translate that understanding into product requirements, working with engineering, UX, analytics, operations, and content teams to deliver user value. Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and delivery for your feature area within SSRN's Preprint service
- Engage directly with researchers and scholarly communities to gather, prioritise, and validate their needs
- Formulate problem statements and test hypotheses through data and experimentation, including A/B testing
- Write clear product requirements, whether as user stories, PRDs, or specifications, and manage backlog prioritisation for your feature area
- Use data to identify and prioritise production issues and defects through to resolution
- Lead stakeholder demonstrations at programme milestones and support launch readiness, including GTM briefing materials
- Contribute to the feature-area roadmap, aligned with outcomes agreed with the Senior Product Manager Requirements
- Direct experience gathering and prioritising customer requirements through structured discovery
- Ability to write clear requirements across formats and manage them through delivery
- Experience using data and analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, Pendo, or equivalent) to inform decisions and test hypotheses
- Experience supporting go-to-market activity and communicating with cross-functional stakeholders
- Familiarity with AI tools and services and their application to process improvement and product delivery
- Track record of delivering features against measurable outcomes, working independently across multiple workstreams
