If this sounds exciting to you, please read on. The Prime Video Finance Analytics team is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer. The team is embedded within finance alongside content and business finance partners, we own the single-source-of-truth metrics layer that serves both finance and business leadership. Working across AWS technologies, you'll deliver self-service analytics, business insights, and reliable ETL/ELT workflows. You'll work closely with global business partners and technical teams on many non-standard and unique business problems and use creative problem solving to deliver analytics solutions that underpin Prime Video strategic decision making, from content selection to on-platform customer experience. As an experienced member of the team, in this role, you will:
  • Work with business, finance, and other BIEs and leadership to identify data needs and requirements
  • Generate and present concrete and actionable insights and recommendations for leadership based on sound methodological analysis
  • Communicate analysis results and techniques, both verbally and in writing, clearly and confidently to peers and business partners
  • Build mechanisms to surface knowledge and learnings about to the business
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting/analysis; write quality code to retrieve and analyze data
  • Set up and maintain self-service infrastructure (e.g. dashboards) for the team using data visualization solutions (e.g. QuickSuite)
  • Lead large scale data and analytical projects that help scale the business across Prime Video International and Worldwide Basic qualifications
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL (Structured Query Language) to pull data from a database or data warehouse
  • Experience in the data/BI space Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
