Dow has an opening for Legal Counsel located in Buenos Aires, Argentina . About you and this role As Legal Counsel, you will serve as a key legal partner, providing practical, risk-based legal advice that enables the Company to achieve its strategic objectives while maintaining the highest standards of ethics, compliance, and integrity. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across commercial, functional, and business teams to address a broad range of legal matters, manage risk, and support business growth across the region. You will collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, functions, and geographies while helping create solutions that advance both business objectives and Dow's commitment to responsible operations. Responsibilities
  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to business and functional teams across a broad range of matters, balancing legal risk with business objectives.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of commercial, procurement and other legal documents.
  • Support business transactions, strategic projects, growth initiatives, and day-to-day operations.
  • Identify legal risks proactively and develop pragmatic, creative solutions.
  • Deliver legal training and guidance to internal clients on relevant legal topics.
  • Coordinate and manage outside counsel on selected matters requiring specialized expertise.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance legal service delivery and client experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with legal colleagues, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to support business goals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and knowledge sharing within the Legal organization. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Laws.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required. Portuguese is a plus.
  • Qualified Argentine lawyer with approximately 5 years of relevant legal experience in major law firms and/or multinational companies.
  • Experience supporting clients in energy, petrochemical or oil & gas sectors or other highly regulated sectors is desirable.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide business-focused legal counsel. Your Skills:
