Description Care and Share exists to ensure that the one in nine Southern Coloradans at risk of hunger have access to healthy and nutritious food to thrive. Position Summary: The main responsibility of this position is to steward new and current retail food donor relationships and empower our network of partner agencies to maximize retail food donation opportunities. Oversees the Retail Rescue Program, a key component of Care and Share’s food sourcing plan. Helps to build local and regional relationships to maximize retail food donations and other food-sourcing opportunities. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages and expands the retail rescue program for Care and Share. Develops a site monitoring plan and routinely conducts on-site visits to retail donation partners.
- Fields public inquiries regarding Care and Share's food and retail donation program.
- Works with the Procurement and IT Director using feedback from stakeholders and food donor metrics analyses to develop a strategic plan in alignment with the organization's overall strategic objectives.
- Resolves problems quickly and professionally with food retailers. Determines root-cause with retailers and drivers, and develops resolutions.
- Manages food donor reporting and regular donor mailings.
- Collaborates with the Development team to promote cause marketing campaigns tied to food retailers.
- Collaborates with the Agency Relations team to ensure the smooth operation of the agency-empowered retail program.
- Develops and maintains relationships with food donors, Feeding America, and other food bank network partners. Attends food industry events, including trade shows and association meetings. Maintains relations with the Transportation team and retail donors by regularly accompanying retail route drivers on donation pick-ups.
- Stores and maintains accurate and complete files. Creates and maintains contacts, item cards, and donor records within Care and Share's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities:
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics or another Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adapt to constant change.
- Ability to analyze trends and data. Education and Experience:
- Three years of customer service experience is required.
- At least one year of experience pulling reports, analyzing trends, and improving processes.
- Experience with the retail/grocery industry is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Travel Requirements:
- Must possess a valid state issued driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Access to a reliable personal vehicle for work-related travel is preferred.
- Must maintain personal automobile insurance that meets company minimum coverage requirements, if a personal vehicle is used for work-related travel.
- Frequent travel throughout Southern Colorado is required. Some events may require out-of-state travel. Additional Information: This non-exempt, full-time position will be reporting to the CPO and is eligible for the following benefits:
