We are seeking a Physician who is an energetic, self-starter who can effectively work on a team and is flexible to best serve this unique population. Our talented team of clinical support staff and physicians deliver extensive preventive medical services, including detailed physical examinations, to screen for, detect, and prevent disease while educating this highly motivated group about maintaining their good health and personal fitness. Position Details: · Location: Irvine, CA · Schedule: Clinic hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm · Open to fulltime and part time physicians. Minimum requirement is 3 days/week · Perform detailed physical examinations, review laboratory and testing data to report back to first responder, and educate them regarding the implications of, and recommendations for, follow-up testing or care. Interest in and understanding of preventative medicine is important. · Providing services to firefighters, police officers and other county agency employees · Outpatient based position · Support staff: Medical assistant, multidisciplinary team including: physiologist, nutritionist, care coordinators, nurses Compensation & Benefits: · Competitive Hourly Compensation · Would be hired as independent contractor (must have S-Corporation established ) · Opportunity to transition to employed physician based on performance and program needs Qualifications: · Minimum of 2-3 of years experience practicing as a Primary Care Physician · M.D. or D.O. Degree Required · Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine?or Internal Medicine · Active CA Medical license in good standing. Or ability to obtain CA medical license · EMR proficiency in Epic strongly preferred · Energetic, self-starter who can work within a group and contribute to a team environment. · Willingness to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team of exercise physiologists, nurses, and other physicians to continuously improve services and determine the optimal point of care. · Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. · Ability to speak, write, and lecture within the first community about related health topics.
