Position Requirements Description Cardiac Anesthesiologist opening at regional tertiary-care, teaching, and research center in Newark, NJ, a short distance from Manhattan. Saint Michael’s Medical Center is a teaching and research center and was established in 1867 by the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor. - General surgery, ortho, vascular, GYN, NORA, endo Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
- Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
- Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership Requirements
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- TEE proficiency is required
- Completion of Cardiac Fellowship
- ECFMG and FLEX
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
