Duties

  • You will direct and evaluate command-level Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Special Access Program (SAP), collateral, personnel, information, physical, and industrial security programs.
  • You will serve as the principal security advisor to command leadership on SCI, SAP, Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), and security-compliance requirements.
  • You will develop, implement, and update security policies, procedures, standard operating procedures, and training programs to meet mission and regulatory requirements.
  • You will oversee Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operations, including access control, intrusion-detection systems, visitor management, secure storage, classified-material accountability, and facility self-inspections.
  • You will lead security inspections, program assessments, preliminary inquiries, and corrective-action efforts to identify, mitigate, and resolve security vulnerabilities and compliance deficiencies.
  • You will review personnel-security information and adverse or derogatory matters and provide recommendations to the appropriate security authority concerning eligibility, access, suspension, restriction, or reinstatement decisions.
  • You will coordinate security requirements with command staff, external security organizations, contractors, and information technology personnel to support classified systems, training, exercises, and operational requirements.
  • You will supervise and develop security personnel; assign work, evaluate performance, resolve technical and administrative issues, and ensure a trained workforce capable of executing command security programs. Qualifications GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, controlling, evaluating, and administering Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) security programs; conducting SCI security briefings, prescreening interviews, indoctrinations, debriefings, and nondisclosure agreement execution; identifying security deficiencies and supporting corrective actions; provide security guidance, training, reports; and brief recommendations to command personnel and external stakeholders. GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Oversee the planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, controlling, evaluating, and administering Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) security programs; leading security compliance assessments, resolving complex security issues, and advising leadership on program risks and corrective actions; developing and presenting command-level security policies, training, briefings; and brief recommendations to senior leaders and external stakeholders.
