Western National Insurance is seeking a Premium Audit Intern to join its Premium Audit team as part of the Summer 2027 Internship Program. Western National Internship Program Summary: Western National provides a robust internship program designed for individuals aiming to acquire valuable experience in the insurance industry. This program not only offers practical, hands-on opportunities and project work in partnership with our Premium Audit team; but interns will also have the opportunity to enhance their existing skill sets through a range of professional development activities, cultivate relationships with employees and fellow interns, and participate in impactful volunteer initiatives within the community. Position Summary: As our Premium Audit Intern, you will be a key contributor not only within the Premium Audit team, but across the office including departments such as Commercial Lines Underwriting and Loss Control. Possible tasks that you'll assist with include:
- Responds to audit-related inquiries from policyholders, agents, and internal departments
- Assists with the intake, prioritization, and assignment of premium audits to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Monitors audit status and follows up on outstanding or overdue audits
- Attends departmental meetings, conferences, and initiatives that promote cross-functional collaboration
- Assist the audit team with ongoing projects
- Learn about the Commercial Insurance industry
- Complete other duties as assigned Requirements What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Completed two years of college preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work closely with various teams and departments.
- Interest/Experience in the Insurance Industry
- Ability to work onsite at our corporate office in Edina, MN Compensation Overview: The base pay offered for this position will be $20.00/hour.
