About Macroscope Macroscope is building the infrastructure for the next generation of software development, where engineers direct fleets of agents, every change is automatically reviewed and verified, and organizations have a clear understanding of how their products and codebases are evolving. Our mission is to give engineers more leverage and leaders more clarity, so teams can build better software, faster. Macroscope is founded by former entrepreneurs who have started and sold multiple companies, and operated as product/engineering executives at public tech companies. We're fortunate to be supported by the best VC firms and angels in the business, including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Thrive Capital, Google Ventures, and Adverb. What You'll Do

  • Own the positioning and messaging for Macroscope as our product and the AI software-development landscape evolve.
  • Lead product launches from strategy through execution, working closely with product, engineering, design, and sales.
  • Turn technically complex products and features into clear, compelling stories for developers and engineering leaders.
  • Create technical content that shows rather than tells: product demos, walkthroughs, tutorials, videos, launch assets, technical deep dives, and social content.
  • Develop a repeatable launch and distribution motion across product, content, social, community, partnerships, and events.
  • Build relationships with developers and our community, using what you learn to sharpen our product, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Design creative growth experiments that increase awareness, product adoption, and qualified pipeline.
  • Build partnerships and programs with other companies and communities in the developer and AI ecosystem.
  • Work closely with sales to create messaging, demos, competitive intelligence, and other materials that help customers understand why Macroscope is different.
  • Use AI tools, automation, and lightweight software to make yourself and the marketing function dramatically more effective.
  • Measure what works, double down on it, and quickly abandon what doesn't. What Success Looks Like
  • Developers and engineering leaders quickly understand what Macroscope does, why it matters, and why it's different.
  • Product launches consistently create attention, engagement, and adoption.
  • Macroscope develops a distinctive voice and presence within the developer and AI communities.
  • Technical content and product education become meaningful drivers of product discovery and adoption.
  • We develop repeatable channels for reaching developers and generating qualified demand.
  • Insights from customers and the developer community continuously make our product and messaging better.
  • Marketing operates with the speed, experimentation, and technical fluency of the product and engineering teams. Who You Are
  • You have experience marketing technical products to developers, engineers, or similarly technical audiences.
  • You can understand a technical product deeply enough to explain it, demo it, and create content that developers actually find useful.
  • You are an exceptional storyteller who can translate complicated technical ideas into simple, compelling narratives.
  • You have shipped product launches and know how to turn a product release into a broader moment.
  • You are highly hands-on. You're as comfortable making the demo, writing the post, launching the experiment, or building the workflow as you are developing the strategy.
  • You understand how content, community, product marketing, growth, partnerships, and sales can work together rather than treating them as separate functions.
  • You are curious about developers and developer culture and spend time understanding how they discover, evaluate, and adopt new tools.
  • You actively use AI tools and are excited about how AI is changing software development.
  • You are comfortable using data to understand what is working, but you don't need perfect attribution before trying something new.
  • You thrive in zero-to-one environments where the job is ambiguous and the playbook hasn't been written yet. The base pay for the Founding Product & Growth Marketer position ranges from $120k/year to $250k/year. Pay is based on several factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. About you
  • You are extremely high agency. We are a small startup and we intend to keep an extremely flat organizational structure for as long as possible. Instead of relying on people managers, product managers and heavy processes, we rely on exceptionally talented individuals with high agency to be self-motivated towards contributing to our mission.
  • You want to work at an early stage startup. The default state of any startup is failure. The only way to overcome the daunting odds of making a startup venture successful is for a densely packed group of insanely hard working and talented people to work together to build something useful to and loved by customers. If you're not willing to work extremely hard on something high risk, this startup isn't for you.
  • You act like an owner. You put immense care and craft into what you build because you take responsibility for all parts of the product. You don't walk past broken windows.
  • You care about what we're building. Life's too short to work on something you're not passionate about. We are a small group of ambitious people who want to build something insanely great that we want to use, and that we think every company will want to use. If our mission and product don't resonate with you, we understand and would encourage you to find something that does.
