Responsibilities Analyze business and technical requirements for APIs. Design and execute manual and automated API test cases. Validate API requests, responses, status codes, headers, and payloads. Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end API testing. Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports. Use API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or Insomnia. Automate API test suites using frameworks like Rest Assured, Karate, or Postman/Newman. Validate data integrity by testing backend databases (SQL queries). Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams throughout the SDLC/STLC. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide testing updates.
