The Tactical Radars department within Raytheon Hardware Engineering supports the development, production, and deployment of multiple defense products including radars, missiles, command and control systems, and naval electronics. The products support US Government and international customers. This Senior Mechanical Engineer Deputy Change Control Board Chairperson will support the Tactical Radars and Land Based Effectors AUR team based in Woburn, MA and may require domestic and international travel to suppliers. This position will be an onsite role. What You Will Do

• Support the Chief Engineer and the CCB Chairperson in ensuring releases and changes to elements of the Technical Data Packages are reviewed with rigor
• Ensure Configuration Control Board activities are compliant with the requirements, policies, and procedures for both the customer and the company.
• Collaborate with Quality as needed to ensure changes and additions to the Technical Data Package (engineering drawings) are compliant with all standards, procedures, and customer expectations and have been properly documented
• Assist CCB Chairperson with ensuring Technical Data Package (ex: engineering drawing) changes are reviewed by the appropriate virtual Configuration Control Board members (reviews are done electronically)
• Maintain the list of essential reviewers and approvers
• Maintain the weekly log of TDP changes and releases
• Assist CCB Chairperson and CM with ensuring that PDM and meta data have been appropriately linked and populated
• Assist CCB Chairperson with ensuring that changes to Technical Data Packages have been Validated, meaning that due diligence has been performed to show that the change will have the desired impact on the product. This includes ensuring Peer Reviews have been completed on substantial design changes or releases.
• Assist CCB Chairperson with ensuring that new drawings and changed drawings meet the requirements of the Contract, Product Drafting Specification, Engineering Documentation Standard Volumes 1-3, ASME Y14, and MIL=STD-31000
• Operate as primary CCB Chairperson on a limited basis when CCB Chairperson is out of office
• Assist in maintaining job aids for those submitting changes and releases to the Technical Data Package
• Hold or participate in tag-ups to get changes or releases back on the right track if electronic communication is no longer sufficient.
• Mentor engineers in the requirements of releases and changes to a Technical Data Package
• Research applicable standards and processes for a given situation. Qualifications You Must Have
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience in the creation, review and interpretation of technical documentation utilized in the development or production of hardware or tooling products.
• Demonstrated experience applying and reviewing requirements, documentation standards and/or compliance standards for technical documentation.
• Experience in mechanical design, advanced design development, manufacturing or tooling processes, or related areas.
• Experience reviewing Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning on engineering drawings.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Interim Secret Clearance is needed on Day 1. Qualifications We Prefer
• Advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering, or hardware systems design.
• Experience in the development, creation, release, or updates of engineering drawings utilizing a 3D CAD design tool.
• Experience in understanding and tailoring process documentation.
• Working knowledge of industry specifications utilized in creation of technical data packages for military products
• detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work autonomously, lead engineering teams, with minimal supervision.
