Leidos is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Legal Function. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, develop strong partnerships to understand business priorities, identify organizational and workforce needs, and deliver effective HR solutions. The HRBP will partner closely with Legal Function leadership to support both day-to-day HR needs and strategic initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, talent development, and business performance. This position reports to the Director, Human Resources – Legal Function and is based at the Leidos corporate headquarters in Reston, Virginia, with the flexibility to work remotely up to 50% of the time. Primary Responsibilities The HRBP will assess business and workforce needs and develop and implement HR solutions that support organizational objectives and continuously improve performance. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Organizational Design & Development: Partner with leaders to assess organizational structure, workforce capabilities, and evolving business needs.
- Organizational Change Management: Support leaders and employees through organizational changes, including communications, workforce transitions, and change implementation.
- Talent & Leadership Development: Identify talent needs and support succession planning, career development, leadership development, and other initiatives designed to strengthen organizational capability.
- Performance Management: Coach leaders on performance expectations, feedback, development, and performance improvement while promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Total Rewards: Partner with leaders and HR Centers of Expertise on compensation, recognition, and other total rewards programs and decisions.
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance and consultation on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and appropriate resolution strategies.
- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Partner with leaders and Talent Acquisition to identify workforce requirements and support effective recruiting, selection, and staffing strategies.
- Employee Engagement: Leverage employee feedback, organizational data, and business insights to identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and the employee experience.
- HR Programs & Initiatives: Support the implementation of enterprise HR programs, processes, and initiatives within the Legal Function. The HRBP will serve as a key liaison between the Enterprise Funcaitons and HR Centers of Expertise, ensuring enterprise programs and solutions are effectively implemented and aligned with the needs of the organization. The individual will also participate in special projects, cross-functional initiatives, and enterprise HR priorities as needed. The successful candidate will bring strong business acumen, sound judgment, a collaborative approach, and the ability to build credibility and trusted relationships across all levels of the organization. Basic Qualifications · Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience, or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. · Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written · Must possess a professional demeanor and have strong consultative skills · Must have experience working with management, to include first-level supervisors all the way through to senior-level management. · Must be a team-player and be willing to be hands-on with tactical duties with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. · Must have broad HR expertise, strong business acumen, and be able to think big-picture and be resourceful in creating solutions. · Must possess good organizational skills and have a strong attention to detail. · Must have experience supporting a geographically dispersed workforce within and outside of the US. · Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. · Experience supporting both professional and hourly employee populations. · Willingness to travel as needed. Preferred Qualifications · SHRM or HRCI certification. · Experience providing HR support to federal government contractors. · Experience supporting remote employees and/or those located at a customer site. Pay Range: Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
