Principal D365 Finance & Operations Developer

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Principal D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Developer to join our team in Noida. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports. You will act as the primary in-house technical expert for D365 F&O, taking ownership of development, integrations, reporting, and technical improvements. The ideal candidate combines deep D365 F&O development expertise with strong solution design, reporting, integration, and Power Platform capabilities. Key Responsibilities: D365 F&O Development & Technical Ownership:

• Design, develop, and maintain X++ customizations using extension-based, upgrade-safe approaches.
• Work with standard D365 frameworks including SysOperation, Data Entities, Batch jobs, Business Events, and workflows.
• Take ownership of the existing codebase and review customizations for technical debt, performance, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot application, data, integration, and performance issues.
• Support testing, releases, deployments, and D365 updates.
• Assess business requirements and recommend the most appropriate technical solution. Reporting & Data Solutions
• Develop and maintain SSRS and Power BI reporting solutions.
• Build datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and scalable data models.
• Work with D365 data entities, SQL, Dataverse, and external data sources.
• Modernize existing SQL-based reporting and ensure reporting is accurate, performant, and maintainable. Power Platform & Integrations
• Design and support integrations using OData, REST APIs, custom services, Business Events, Logic Apps, and Azure services.
• Build and enhance automation solutions using Power Automate.
• Support Dataverse, Dual-write, and Power Apps where appropriate.
• Design reliable data flows between D365 F&O and other enterprise applications. Required Skills & Experience -
• Ideally 8+ years of hands-on AX / D365 F&O technical experience.
• Strong X++ development and D365 framework knowledge.
• Strong SQL, SSRS, and integration experience.
• Experience with APIs, Data Entities, and enterprise integrations.
• Good understanding of Finance processes, particularly GL, AP, and AR.
• Experience with Power Platform and/or Logic Apps.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership of technical solutions.
• MB-500 certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise. Highly Valued -
• Power BI, DAX, and semantic modelling.
• Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Dataverse / Dual-write.
• Azure Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, or Storage.
• Electronic Reporting.
• D365 security and licensing.
• Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, and LCS.
• Performance optimization experience. Soft Skills -
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Clear communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Comfortable working with ambiguous requirements and recommending solutions.
• Able to challenge requirements constructively and explain options and trade-offs.
• Comfortable working as a senior hands-on individual contributor.
