Vet Technician Team Leader – South Otago Permanent, full-time position We’re looking for an experienced rural Vet Technician to lead our Vet Technician team across the South Otago region . This is a permanent, full-time role for someone who enjoys the mix of hands-on farm work, good team organisation and practical leadership. You will oversee day-to-day technician operations, including leave, timesheets, performance , training and team culture, while working alongside vets and technicians on farm and in clinic to support our rural clients. The South Otago Hub is in an exciting growth phase, and the close-knit team has strong connections to the community it proudly supports . What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and support a Vet Technician team across the South Otago region
• Organise work allocation, leave approvals and timesheet sign-off
• Coach, develop and induct team members
• Collaborate with other team leads to deliver str o ng outcomes for our clients
• Stay hands-on with farm and clinic work alongside the vets and tech team
• Support seasonal and routine services including disbudding, teat sealing, metrichecking/metri-curing, body condition scoring, repro work, blood testing, vaccinations, FECRT and milk quality work
• Promote safe stock handling and a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture
• Be flexible and willing to support other areas of the clinic as needs require What you will bring:
• 3 + years’ experience in a Vet Technician role
• Strong dairy industry knowledge and an understanding of farming seasonality
• Good computer skills and a current full driver’s licence
• Previous Senior Vet Technician experience would be an advantage
• A formal rural animal technician qualification would be an advantage
• A calm, organised approach, especially when the pressure is on
• Clear communication, practical leadership and the ability to work well across different teams
• A strong sense of community and active engagement with the communities we serve will be highly regarded
• A strategic mindset, with the drive to continually improve our systems, procedures and services for clients, while helping the clinic grow and develop What we are offering:
