We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team. Based in Poços de Caldas/MG, reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that production operators (respective area) perform their activities within safety, quality, and process standards. You will be responsible for :

  • Ensure that operators meet production targets;
  • To ensure the production of critical items (cables and special orders);
  • Ensure compliance with actions and standards for achieving the indicators. • -OEE / Hour meter – Equipment Performance
  • WIP – Work in process ;
  • Meet the production schedule within the deadlines established by the PCP;
  • WOD (Work Order) Delivery ) ;
  • To ensure that operators comply with the process and production specifications established by engineering;
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and specifications to guarantee the achievement of scrap, consumption, and non-conformity targets;
  • Ensure accurate inventory of supplies, raw materials, and work-in-process materials to meet the production plan;
  • Ensure that safety and environmental procedures are followed;
  • To disseminate Prysmian's values and ensure that those they lead act in accordance with the company's code of ethics;
  • Ensure that employees follow the company's rules of discipline (schedules, disciplinary posture, conduct, etc. ) ;
  • Ensure that workforce reassignment meets the specifications of the job and salary plan;
  • Manage your team's vacation planning;
  • Apply disciplinary measures when necessary;
  • To provide the necessary information for carrying out operational activities; (Procedures, Specifications, Goals, etc. )
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback according to the schedule provided by HR.
  • Report any anomalies related to equipment and machinery that prevent their proper functioning (Safety, Quality and Process);
  • To propose improvements to equipment/machinery aimed at increasing performance and reducing costs;
  • To ensure that TPM activities are carried out according to the standards established in the pillars of: Autonomous Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and Preventive Maintenance.
  • The Production Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. Their responsibilities include participating in internal and external audits, promoting a culture of continuous process improvement, and ensuring compliance with specific procedures within their area of operation. Who are we looking for? We are looking for a professional with the following skills and motivations:
  • Bachelor’s degree in production engineering , Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the position is desirable;
  • Basic concepts of quality control, production indicators ( e.g. , productivity, yield, OEE), and loss management.
  • Technical knowledge of the production processes in the area of expertise .
  • Basic concepts of maintenance and support for the technical team.
  • People management;
  • Working with Kanban ;
  • Lean System;
  • Microsoft Office Suite – Intermediate/Advanced PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Basic level of English and Spanish is desirable;
  • Proven experience in the wire and cable industry is desirable.
